I started Sargent Branding in 2009 as a one-man band designing graphics, logos, and old-school HTML websites. Six years ago I was asked by a client to make changes to their WordPress website. I thought to myself, “Wordpress? What’s that?”
Until then, I hand-coded every site and focused mostly on graphic design. Eager for a new challenge, I happily said yes, and dove in head-first like Michael Phelps at the Olympics. From that day forward I never hand-coded another website. It completely transformed my view of website design.
Within months of learning WordPress, my clients (and their competition) were raving about their new, custom-designed WordPress website. Several of my clients’ companies got acquired by larger companies shortly after we launched their new website, and others are still happy clients today.
Relationships are the currency of my business, and I pride myself on partnering with my clients instead of the traditional hit-it-and-quit-it way of doing business. Nearly all my new clients come from a referral of previous clients. That speaks VOLUMES.
Using that relationship approach, my small but mighty team helps our clients boost brand awareness, turn visitors into customers, transform outdated websites, and start tone-setting brands for the culture.
